Yunex InView - Product Support ESS Process

Creating a new ESS idea in InView

Yunex and the Enhanced Software Support (ESS) Governance Group have worked together to provide direction and focus for the ESS process.

Lead officers for authorities subscribing to Enhanced Software Support (ESS) for UTC, RMS or Stratos are able to raise enhancement ideas.
Each authority then casts up to 10 votes for these ideas, with the top ideas being implemented.

ESS Incidents (Ideas) follow a slightly different path from conventional Product Support incidents, which can be seen in the Incident Life-Cycle Bar.

To submit a new idea, select Create from the Product Support menu.

Then complete all the details as shown below. Ensuring the correct ESS Product has been selected.

The Yunex InView Product Manager reviews the submissions, obtains implementation estimates and adds notes to the idea explaining decisions on whether the idea will proceed to the voting process.
Ideas suitable for taking forward are rated [Hard], [Medium] or [Easy] and placed in the ESS Vote state. Others may be [Rejected] as being out of scope.
Lead offices then cast their votes when the voting window opens.
